What a busy month! Blog updates for this last week have been delayed this week due to having some company over for the weekend and sheer&#8230;<em>busy-ness<\/em> since the countdown clock to Glacier National Park is ticking!<\/p>\n<p>The planned &#8220;Creative Space Manipulation&#8221; post continuation which I was going to do this week is now also delayed.<\/p>\n<p>About 45 minutes ago I heard a loud <em><strong>*BANG!!* <\/strong><\/em>After Maggie, Georgie and I all patted our hair back down on our heads, I rushed outside thinking perhaps a propane tank had exploded or something.<\/p>\n<p>Nope. It was one of my brand-new camper tires. It has blown the sidewall just&#8230;sitting there. UGHHH. I have since checked and the other one is <em>also bubbled on the sidewall<\/em>. Not good, not happy. I just had these put on last week, and brought the camper back home and it&#8217;s just been hanging out here.<\/p>\n<p>These are ST (trailer tires) 175\/80\/R13; they are on a 13&#8242; Scamp camper, which I have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NOT<\/span> filled with bricks, cement or lead bars. They have an even higher load rating than the previous set.<\/p>\n<p>I have spoken to my Scamp camper and he&#8217;s assured me he hasn&#8217;t been doing jumping jacks or weight-training13!<\/p>\n<p>The phone went immediately to my ear. I called the tire store. They are going to send someone out (which they usually don&#8217;t do) within the next day or two to pull the tire off and see what the hell is going on. I&#8217;m pretty sure this is a manufacturer-defect.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll have to discuss options. With the other tire also bubbling, I&#8217;m afraid I can&#8217;t trust even a replacement set of these! The damage they could cause to the Scamp&#8217;s fiberglass, should they fail again at highway speeds could be substantial.
