The tweeting birds, formerly happily fluffing themselves in the sunshine, have hunched over in icy despair and resignation.<\/p>\n<p>The deer glare balefully out from under frosty eyelashes and carefully pick their way across the icy fields.<\/p>\n<p>I glare balefully out from under frosty eyelashes and carefully pick my way across the icy driveway, executing a triple lutz as I clutch at Hhrbie for support. I feel my neighbors mentally holding up scorecards.<\/p>\n<p>The fields are icy. Even the gravel is icy, I know because I went out to check for myself and thus cancelled the afternoon&#8217;s planned activities.
