{"id":215,"date":"2015-01-06T20:33:47","date_gmt":"2015-01-07T03:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/?p=215"},"modified":"2017-02-28T22:23:10","modified_gmt":"2017-03-01T05:23:10","slug":"to-hail-with-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/to-hail-with-it\/","title":{"rendered":"To Hail with It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We explore in a place with the distinction of having the dubious title of &#8216;most unpredictable weather &#8216;.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">People joke that if you don&#8217;t like the weather, wait 10 minutes.<\/span> <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Here, that&#8217;s literally true.<\/p>\n<p>Upon first arriving out here, searching for a place to reside (during a popular event), it began to hail along the interstate, where we happened to be.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning with the mild smatterings one is typically used to, the clouds soon threw caution to the wind and let it all hang out.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">It began to hail fiercely.<\/span> <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>It became hail with a mission. The tiny angry hail pieces pounded the truck, bouncing off of the hood to the pavement, scurrying every which way and collected into the bed of the truck like snow.<\/p>\n<p>Somewhat amused, we pulled off to the side of the interstate to wait it out along with everyone else, watching the growing pile of hail accumulating into the back.<\/p>\n<p>Our adventures were starting off with a bang.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/hail-truck-bed.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-216\" src=\"http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/hail-truck-bed-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"hail truck bed\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/hail-truck-bed-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/hail-truck-bed-150x113.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.magicwolf.com\/wanderings\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/hail-truck-bed.jpg 416w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>People who were out here to have a good time didn&#8217;t know what to make of this. Mother Nature seemed pissed.
